The Tehya Sodalite and Ox Bone Mandala Necklace
The Tehya Sodalite and Ox Bone Mandala Necklace
When I look at this necklace, it makes me think of coastal Greece. Sodalite's white meets blue in a way that makes it look like a string of Grecian villages, and the ox bone mandalas like ancient Greek sculpture-viewing stops along the way. The Gold-filled accent beads are luminous next to the encouragement of the deep blue swirls and veins and splotches in the Sodalite. The clasp is a gold-filled, G-shaped piece with a strong lever.
All of the materials used in this handcrafted, one-of-a-kind piece are genuine and high-quality. The gold will not tarnish, and most importantly, the minerals are real and from the earth. They are special and the reason this piece exists: to celebrate the intersection of nature and design.
Stones
Sodalite is named after its high sodium content and known for its ability to fluoresce under a black light. It occurs most commonly in ocean blue formations with white streaks. Sodalite is used in meditation for meaningful connections and communication with others, making it a great stone to wear throughout the day. Ox Bone is a common material used in Hawaiian cultures for carving, mandalas being a trademark bead.
