The Kateri Aquamarine & Amethyst Bracelet

I love the Kateri Bracelet's pattern, and these hues in that pattern! The crystal clear, Amethyst cylinders against the rocky Aquamarine chips is a lovely contrast. The dreamy blue and lilac hues made the Gold-filled beads and carabiner clasp system look illuminated, and their pattern creates a lovely sense of movement throughout the piece.

Stones
Aquamarine is a hard stone, registering a 7.5-8 on the Moh's hardness scale of 10 (diamonds scoring a 10). It's mostly found in Brazil, as well as Pakistan, although you can find Aquamarine right here in Colorado! Aquamarine grows in a hexagonal shape, which is fairly unique, and is named for its ocean blue hue. The Latin words aqua and marina - translate to "water of the sea." Aquamarine is used in meditation as a strong cleansing crystal, helping in meditation to clear mental toxicity, and it's also used to help encourage clear communication.

Amethyst is one of the most popular minerals among collectors, jewelers, and those who just can't get enough of this mineral's namesake hue. It's got a hardness of 7 out of 10 on the Moh's scale (diamonds get a 10). While Amethyst can be found in many parts of the world, the best specimens come from Africa, Brazil, and North America. Amethyst has been used widely and throughout history as a protective stone. It is a great meditative stone for stress reduction and inward focus.
