The Chaska Banded Amethyst Necklace

Rhodochrosite is the state mineral of Colorado! One of my Favorites, this beautiful light pink stone is dressed with swirling white clouds. Rhodochrosite is found in two different forms - the massive white and pink banded kind we typically think of, and a crystalline form that is a deeper rose pink, clearer, and tends not to have the white inclusions found in the massive forms. With a hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale of 10 (diamond scoring a 10), you'll want to take care of this piece.
